Iron Design L.L.C. was born from a strong interest and desire to avoid waste or spending hard-earned money on things that last a very short time. What is produced in our shop are items that will last a lifetime which can’t be done with super thin, poorly welded metal.

We are proud to say all of our shop items are made with 100% American milled steel and other American made products. We use our Plasma CNC machine to cut all items, then hand polish, sharpen, weld, etc in our Northeast Iowa farm shop.
Christina has brought her passion for re-purposing old corrugated tin and creating home decor with barn wood reclaimed from one of my barns adjacent to our farm shop. All of our home decor is hand made, built and painted by myself and Christina.
Because we create our home and garden decor from our own barn wood and corrugated tin, all items are are unique and handmade upon order. The item(s) pictured is a sample of the completed product. The final product will have the same design and color(s) as pictured, but the wood and tin will vary slightly in appearance and weight. We will accept personalized orders.
Our metal products are made from American milled steel, cut on a plasma CNC unit in our shop or on a laser unit for finer detailed projects. They are hand-made, each piece is hand ground, hand polished and hand finished. There MAY be some imperfections to the metal or the design. However with the use of our Plasma CNC machine (Scott has 12 years experience!), we do get better consistency than found most other places. There is the possibility that you will see the “start” mark where the plasma arc begins.
If you do prefer the rusted look we can treat the metal so that it comes to you pre-rusted or send you an item that is finished in Clear: This will let the piece look like raw metal. With this finish, you will be able to see the raw metal, there MAY be rust spots, grinder marks or other surface imperfections. THIS IS NORMAL and you WILL NOT be able to return an item because of this. All items are made after the order is completed. Most orders ship within 7 days. If you are needing an item by a certain date PLEASE consult us before purchasing so we can be sure that it can be done.
